Last minute August ferry return to France: €1300 with car, 4 people, cabin, meals

    This is definitely not the bargain of the century but it might suit some for a last minute summer get away to France / Belgium / Germany.

    DFDS have just opened their Rosslare - Dunkirk ferry to passenger traffic and are selling one ways for €650 in August or €550 in September. A peak August return would come in at €1300. This includes a car, up to 4 passengers, a cabin and all meals/soft drinks with the meals while onboard (!).

    Hard to compare prices right now when Irish Ferries, Brittany Ferries and Stena are almost all booked out in August.

    One thing to consider is it’s a long crossing (24 hours) at really not very social times but it might be compensated a little with reduced driving time, if headed to Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany.
