Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Painting skirting boards a different colour

Hi folks, was thinking of painting my living room this dark yellow colour. Then I saw this apartment on daft.ie and I like the dark skirting boards with it. So, can I just paint my white skirting boards brown? Any drawbacks or reasons it won't work?

That looks like the natural wood was stained and/or varnished, rather than a brown paint.
Brown paint will look awful on skirting boards. If that's the look you want you'd be better off replacing the skirting and starting from scratch. Personally I think they'd look better white, but taste is very subjective.

The use of skirting boards is a good idea to frame your room but I personally don't like the combination of dark yellow and brown. Basically, both are dark colors. I would suggest you to try the combo of light and dark color instead of it.
