Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As the title says when bringing in bales the other day ( the only time the tractor is worked hard all year) suddenly could only get it into 3rd and 4th gear just would not allow me click into 1st or 2nd. Next morning when i tried it would allow me put it into both again but it can be hard sometimes.... is this the onset of a major problem??

Dunno but with clutch and any standard manual gear box car etc., you can always select first afaik with engine off?

Had this in a Massey before twice. Once was play in the linkage under the cab that required adjusting the gear lever a few turns. Worked fine since.

Second probably wouldn't apply to you I don't think. It was a bad connection to the high-low solenoid that when it lost power wanted to default to low but since it couldn't fully go into low was jamming so to speak and wouldn't go into first or second. Third and fourth were fine.

Have a play around with the linkage first. See if you can find all gears easily with the gear lever disconnected. Next time it jams, get under it and try moving it by hand from there. Like to take the keys out before going under it to be safe.
