snipped roof aerial cable - need to reconnect

hello, wrongly thought the roof aerial cable coming in to attic was ntl - snipped it and used it as pull chord.

i've now pulled the remaining aerial cable back out to the roof aerial connector.

how do i remove the old cable from the connector (the roof connector side is ok and the attic side of cable just needs to screw in when i figure out how to re-attach it?)

Compression f-connectors by the looks of them, cannot be be refitted.

Get new satellite grade cable and new screw-on f-connectors to fit the cable and amalgamating tape to moisture seal the outside connection.

Nice one.

I just realised there was a female to female connector connecting to it.

Took that off and looks like compressed f connector.

I'll get a new screw-on f connector. I'll hit up screwfix for the amalgamating rubber - just searched and they have SELF-AMALGAMATING RUBBER TAPE.item code 2115V.

this is excellent. thought i'd be shelling out 70+ to resolve it.
