Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Diy mechanic training

Does anyone know of any courses / training that exists for people that would like to learn more about fixing cars without actually doing an apprenticeship or pursuing mechanical training as a profession?

I enjoy DIY and there are lots of courses out there for plumbing / woodwork/ metalwork/ masonry etc of which I have completed but I have never been able to find anything for learning how to repair your car.

I don't have a garage/ space so I can't just buy a project car to work on so had hoped there would be courses / instructors that might provide actual training but from what I can see it doesn't exist.

I know there are car maintenance courses run by the adult education program but these seem to just be basic stuff that you still wouldn't be that comfortable tackling many jobs in practice after doing those courses so that's not really what I am looking for.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
