Mortgage credit intermediary

Hi, I got a AIP from Bank of Ireland. On the document, it mentions a 'Mortgage credit intermediary' a couple of times - can anyone please advise who the term refers to? Is it referring to a solicitor? Or the mortgage broker?

A Mortgage Credit Intermediary is a person who arranges, or offers to arrange, for a mortgage lender to provide a consumer with a housing loan. In this instance, this would be your broker.
