    You'll have to contact the VRT crowd at the customs in Rosslare Harbour and tell them your plans. I think you've got seven days from the time you bring it in to start the import procedure. They'll look at it, pick a magic figure out of the air and tell you that that's the Irish value of it and charge you 13.5% of that value as VRT. At this stage you have the option of paying up or removing the vehicle from the jurisdiction. You can appeal the amount but only after paying.

    wondering if you are seeing good value in Portugal?(asked on here recently about importing/good value but got no responses)— any sites you are using you wouldn’t mind sharing?
