Anyone else had this sort of problem?
I have a mobile phone account with a French telecoms company. It wouldn't accept payments from my KBC account, so instead I always just used my UK (sterling) account. I assumed there was some issue with KBC for some reason.
However, I have recently opened an AIB account and tried to get the French company to accept payments from my AIB account. Again, the French company would not accept payment, so I can only think the French company is refusing payments from all Irish banks. I have just discovered IBAN discrimination is a thing.
