Routes for learner driver in Dun Laoghaire area

Teaching one of the kids to drive at the moment.

Early days so looking for quiet routes where mistakes wont cause a crash 😁

Hard to find a quiet estate that are not congested with cars or are not hilly.

Currently been using Silchester park/road area but need to find others .

Any suggestions?

This corner here is used in tests and a lot by learners. And the little stretch of road is used for the 3 point turn, or whatever it is called now

Grounds of IADT on Kill Ave in the evenings is a good one

Not sure what time they put up the barriers at though

Thanks - I had been using that one but was told they are not happy with learner drivers . I did get a dirty look from the staff one evening. But it was ideal while it lasted.

There was always someone driving around it over Summer

Might be different now that they're back in the college

I walked the dog there last night & there was someone doing hill starts in the carpark at the back

The middle section (Corrig Road/Three Rock Road) of Sandyford Ind Estate would be pretty quiet in the evenings.

Just looked at that section in Sandyford on Maps and yes it does look pretty good. Will definitley be heading there. Thanks for all the help with this everyone - much appreciated.
