I have been getting them for the past 2 or 3 weeks

Who is buying these ads ?

Are they directed at a particular section of the browsing population?

I don't pay much attention to them (the last one was in Irish) so I don't really know the content.

Easy to determine who is not running them - which does not leave many who would run them.

I saw an advert with LV featured. It was trying to sell crypto currency. Obviously a fake.

Yeah, they're targeted, I know some groups that used Google in the last election to target certain demographics. If you could screen shot a few - I'd be interested in seeing some of them.

Edit: I thought they had to announce who sponsored it though - I may be wrong on this.....

These ads aren't targeted. I've seen them on several sites and know plenty who have seen them. They are most definitely not targeted and just random.

They are pure click bait advertising and the things they advertise are completely unrelated.

A lot of well known Irish people have been used, without their knowledge or permission, in these scam adverts -usually dodgy bitcoin scams.
