M3 Facilities is applying for planning permission for the creation of a Multi-Cultural Community Centre in Clonee, Co. Meath. As part of their desire to engage with the local community and welcome visitors to the town, M3 Facilities wishes to use the façade of the proposed Community Centre facing Co. Dublin, to display permanent artwork. The theme of the competition is “MULTI-CULTURAL COMMUNITIES AND LIVING TOGETHER”. There are 2 areas of the façade that will be used to display the art pieces. The winning artwork will be displayed on the façade’s selected locations. Entrants have the choice to create two separate pieces or two related pieces. Artists are not required to fabricate the artwork, only to submit the scale design drawing. The design will be fabricated by a third party. The deadline for submissions is 23:59pm on 30th September 2022. Any submissions after this date will not be considered. A PRIZE of €2,000 will be awarded to the winner, which will be announced on 10th October 2022. The winner will receive 10% of the price when selected, 10% of the prize if / when planning permission is granted for the project, 40% of the prize at the start of the construction work and 40% of the prize at the opening of the community centre.
