Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Max can keep it clean on his last run he will grab pole, wasier said than done.

    Perez seals pole for Max

    Fix! 😆😆

Some lap from Max. Perez lucky not to be in the barrier there

Something must have 'flared' up inside of them.

    Simply lovely. 😁

Great lap from Max there, middle sector won it for him. This track suiting the Mercs a lot better. Roll on tomorrow.

Perez showing his worth to RB again - great team player.

Bit of an anti climax with the yellow flag.

Nobody was beating Max I don’t think. Cracking lap.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Middle sector by max was epic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,257 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Lando P7*, Daniel P18. Sorry but it's just cementing the fact that McLaren have made the right decision.

    *Pending unsafe release investigation

That was a phenomenal middle sector from Verstappen don't think anyone would have taking pole from him. Fair play to Yuki and Mick getting in to Q1. Ricciardo absolutely awful yet again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,951 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Max doing what he does, they were nowhere yesterday but from the first lap in FP3 he was on it.

    Should be a good race.

Yeah the middle sector won it for him. Charles went purple in the first and third sectors and it was so close in the end. Fair play to both. Great competition.

Great performances from Schumacher and Stroll. Getting to Q3, when their teammates were eliminated in Q1, is an excellent result. I don't rate Stroll at all bit credit where its due. Wonder if Vettel has checked out or just lost his pace.

Thought they mentioned on Sky that it would more likely be a fine for the team rather than punish the driver?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,257 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Well, usually if there's a grid penalty it would have been announced by the time Channel 4 show highlights (tuned in to hear Mark Webber's side of the Piastri story)

None was mentioned so Lando stays P7

Shambles of a restart in F2 but those pigeons hanging out on the track are living life dangerously

    Ms

You mean Q3 don't you? Easy enough to mix them up. But ye excellent from both of them. It was a much better qualifying session than last weeks one which was just boring.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Sky still sore about last year a piece with annoying Ted. Saying the championship with Max and Newey's car atleast will be won fair and square this year. Clowns with tunnel vision.

Wonder will anybody try the old wall of death around the banked corner on the first lap.

Ferrari will have to go super aggressive as they have nothing to loose at this stage.

Something tells me it won’t go Max’s way today. let’s see.

Jenson button sounds very chipper just now in spite of being in a commentary box with crofty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,375 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

I expect Max to humiliate everyone. Winner by over 30 secs.

Perez on sifts and Hamilton on mediums at the start should be interesting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Come on Ferrari - wonder if we'll see a SC or VSC on lap one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Sainz and Hamilton touch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,045 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

I'm hoping both Alpine drivers will get points.

Hamilton did well to defend from Perez

MAG goes offroad , will be lucky if that car is ok after that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

A good start for him considering mediums and how they say they struggle to get their tyres to temp.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,375 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Bye Max, send us a postcard of the chequered flag.

PS, nice catch by Caoimhín Magnussen.

Max isn't sailing off just yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,893 ✭✭✭Hijpo

Seems the DRS train is chooching away unfortunately. Pit stops needed to break it up I think.

Hamilton will get Sainz I think.

Ferrari mess up big time, and Perez drives over a bit of their kit.
