    Hi all,

Have a brown log book and transferring ownership.

Assume fill in the book and post off with an RF200 form? Send to Shannon?

Also, the tax class is wrong, as should be vintage. What's the best way to get this updated. Change of particulars RF111 and submit in the same envelope?

Also, there's a few years back tax owed on it, on the wrong tax class, again, assume that'll disappear?

    Thanks

If the tax class is wrong I'd go down to my local tax office and get it changed there and then and get the change of ownership done at the same time.

Whatever about changing Tax class if it's a pre '93 Car the Book and RF200 goes through the Seller's local Tax Office, not Shannon. Pre Covid they were usually walk-in so you didn't need to post it (less risk of the old Book getting lost).

Having said that I often went to my local Office and did the change on-the -spot.....whenever the Seller was willing to let me take the Book with me.

Only one is the one in Dublin city which is an absolute pain to get to.

If I go down that route, can they do everything there and then?
