The play-off place is secured but a win in Slovakia guarantees a place in the play-off second round. Team news:

Bookies have Ireland favourites but I'm concerned about this one. Slovakia got a draw in Dublin, and when Finland went to Brastislava it ended 1-1. Sweden only managed a 1-0 win here as well, so this looks a tough game on paper unless Slovakia aren't bothered.

I'll be optimistic and say we'll edge it.

Assume the results against the 6th place teams are not included when deciding who are the best 3 2nd place teams, and then the best 2 of the teams who win in the second round of the playoffs?

Job done. Ireland get the win and go into the play-off 2nd round for Friday's draw. Very hard-fought result. Slovakia put it up to the team and were physical.
