    Thanks Myksyk for keeping this going. And to all who post and "thank" on here.

    This was taken in my back garden in august. Not only was it my first shot of a grasshopper, but also the first time I had seen one! Taken on my Nikon D810 with a Nikon 105mm f/2.8D macro lense. Shot at f/14, 1/640" ISO 800, handheld, natural light.

    The grasshopper photo captures outstanding detail, way better than any in my wildlife books. Absolutely stunning photo Adrian.

    Well done to everybody who post photos - none of mine come even close.
