smart meter - how to move it ?

Hi All

I have just moved in to my new home, and i have lots to do.

Firstly i am moving the water tank/cylinder and where i want to move it will be directly above my fuse board/smart meter.

As i am doing a complete rewire of the home i will intend on moving the fuseboard under the stairs if its possible, which i believe an electrician ccan do.

But there is a Smart Meter also in same location, who can move that is it just ESB or can an electrician do that (allowed to) is that a major job - if ESB are to do it is there a big charge ?

I was just over at the house again and i might put the tank under the stairs instead.

would anyone know who is allowed to move a smart meter/cost involved

Only ESB Networks can legally move a meter.
