Free mac butterfly keyboard repair

I have a 2017 macbook Pro purchased in 2019. The keyboard stopped working which I've discovered is a common problem. Apple in the US were replacing free of charge if purchased within 4 years. Has anybody had the same issue snd had it replaced? Thx
