    They announced a provisional date for Sunday June 11th 2023. They've also stated that it will be a Down run again. Qualification details etc still to be announced.

    I was hoping to go for a back to back but can't make this date due to familial commitments. Planning for 2024 for the Up run.

    2024 COMRADES MARATHON DIRECTION CONFIRMED

    It is confirmed! Next year’s Comrades Marathon will be an Up Run.

    The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) Board has confirmed that the 97th edition of the world’s biggest, oldest and most famous ultramarathon will start in the coastal city of Durban and finish in the inland city of Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, 9 June 2024.

    I'll just leave this here, race day is Sunday June 9th 🙂. Was considering it myself but a friend's wedding has put an end to that idea for next year anyway.

    Seems to be an internal fight going on in SA if this is true, would be sad if they pulled next year's event.
