anyone know what weight in tons is a massey 265 2wheel drive

is it heavier than a 290 massey?

2900kg according to tractordata for the 265

2700kg for the 290. Surprised that it's lighter than the 265.

Not clear if those weights include a cab.

The 290s came standard (I think) with a 3 lever mechanical multi power gearbox, SCV and maybe slightly larger tyres.

Also the 290 engine was the 248 while the 265 was the 236.

So if both fitted with the Sankey cab the 290 will be heavier by a bit, but by how much I'm not sure.

Fitted with the same cab, a 265 couldn’t possibly be heavier than a 290, in my opinion. The 290 has a larger engine and 34” wheels, compared to the 30” wheels fitted to a 265. The 290 looked to be a longer tractor too, but maybe not.
