Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gas open fire and drafts

I have a gas open fire, it's about 12 years old and I think it's call "conventional flu" and just uses the existing chimney. In winter when fire not on drafts come down the chimney and so the sitting room can be cold even with central heating on. What would my options be to stop drafts coming down ? Are they some chimney…

What would my options be to stop drafts coming down ? Are they some chimney caps that are effective at stopping down drafts ?
If I don't want to block chimney while not in use could the fire be converted to some type of closed system with a door on front ?
