In purely strategic terms, KS was running around 5th and did reasonably well in September which I have not updated yet for the annual contest, currently the two low scores are 48 and 55, so entering with a late penalty would only be worthwhile if you could break 55 with the late penalty, otherwise the total will include the 55 and drop just the 48 at end of year. Also it keeps KS in the hunt for top score in total. Need to enter soon or the late penalty starts accelerating, not much point after midnight.
