    Hi

Need run laptop two monitors TV broadband and back boiler and odd light.

What model would be best I've seen loads of these lonclin and pacini however aren't these Chinese models? I want reliable and easy access parts down the line.

    Thanks

Inverter generator and extension lead .Connect your laptops and monitors direct to generator

Emergency lighting and a backup heat source that doesn't require electricity

My2c anyhow from looking at it , too many complications hooking small generators up to changeover switches as they're not designed for connecting to a main board .

Just wondering if I was gonna run generator from house to garage what size of cable would be required like keep it out of rain ect obviously door would be open. Generator has 16a 220 plug and garage around 25 meters away. Would 2.5mm cable be ok for 3.5k generator?

I have a 6.5 kVa generator which has a Loncin engine without any difficulties and parts are readily available at reasonable prices unlike Honda parts prices which are simply crazy.

For the sensitive loads you describe, go for an inverter type - more expensive but it will provide a much more stable output.

Is it just as a backup for power failures?

The Honda’s are nice, but expensive.

2.5mm would be fine for anything up to 3.5kva, but try and avoid any fixed wiring associated with it - There are both regulatory and practical issues arising.
