His shirts are amazing. He's got one where its just him and his family's heads on the back

Surprised Suljovic managed to win, he's been brutal this year

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,353 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Is this still being streamed on YouTube?

Wade’s scoring is getting worse, I reckon he’ll quickly fall down the rankings

Bye bye Wade, always happy when he gets knocked out.

Exactly, same as usual. Williams seems decent, nice to see him win.

Some really enjoyable games today. Makes a nice change to be able to say that

Wade is always hyped up like Chizzy

Wade just can't live up to the hype esp at the World's

Absolutely nothing Menzies can do against Vincent. Vvdv is throwing some unreal darts

  • Registered Users Posts: 341 ✭✭bingobango12

Delighted Wade is gone. Strange bloke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,980 ✭✭✭Degag

He's not on the same level as Chizzy though. He's had 4 semi-final appearances and third on the all time PDC major list. Albeit some of them are dodgy enough "majors"

How bad is is this Turner woman in studio? Even worse on comms.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,980 ✭✭✭Degag

Fairly inexplicable how she got the gig really. A poor player who has never broken 70 (that i can see) in a world championship match. She's there purely for her sex.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Swaine

Two women in studio analysing a game. Not one woman remaining in this tournament.

    Sky are pathetic.

Smith throwing some great darts here

    That was a good game.

    Labanauskas 70% on doubles!!

    Cross very impressive.

Good win in what was a tough draw for him v williams

Danny Jansen has to have one of the most punchable faces this year

    Good performance from Clayton

Think it has been mostly terrible viewing since Wed evening, leaving out the Wade game there have been 18 matches and only 3 were close, 54 sets to 14 combined in those 18,put you to sleep. Most of the lads losing don't even seem too bothered :-(

Ya there's not been much excitement yesterday or today, hopefully things pick up in round 3, some good ties on paper.

Too many bad players. Should be top 64 in the rankings end of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,025 ✭✭✭boomdocker

Tournament proper starting now that the dross is gone

RvB v Price, Cullen v Heta and Asp v Rock the standout ties for me in the next round

I'm sure there will be one or two surprises to come , but with the longer format best of 7 sets the cream will start rising to the top

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Must be on my own but I’d keep the format, some of the earlier games were enjoyable even if the quality wasn’t always great.

How good is Dan Dawson on Sky. Fantastic addition.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,500 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Rather than reducing to 64 players I'd say it's more likely that 128 will happen (maybe 112 first, with just the Top 16 getting a bye).

They are still selling out those pre-Christmas sessions, to the XMas party office market I think, and no reason to think another 4 or 8 sessions wouldn't sell out either. Be kind of silly not to maximise your revenue potential.

I agree it's not always very watchable stuff though, this year seemed particularly bad looking at the results (I've never really watched more than a handful of games until the last 32 anyway)

Very poor tournament so far but think it was similar last year.

Great first set there with Aspinall and Rock, should be a close one.
