Winner of this should go deep in the tournament

I doubt it. He's very much on the British side of NI

    ‘Do believe the hype’… yawn

Aspinall’s doubles there were farcical. The match shouldn’t have been a contest if he could’ve hit a half-decent number of them

Enjoyable game, Aspinall threw it away a bit in the end when it counted.

Rock needs to be a bit more consistent but it should come considering how inexperienced he is.

Brillant game and how can you not be amazed with Rock, congrats too him. Hes has a huge future in the sport, will he win it this year ?? he has a huge chance and will be laughing if Clayton doesnt win next

Thats my Accum for the Semi finals fucked now (Jose,Humpphries, Aspinall and MVG to all get out of there Quarters)

Ya, if Aspinall was anywhere around 40% on his doubles, which he should be, he'd have won handy

If's don't win games though, fair play to Rock - got it done without too much fuss in the end, good player

Anytime Dolan gets the slightest bit of momentum he capitulates.

Very high quality game there with Williams and Clemens.

Harsh on Jim to lose but great comeback from Clemens.

That was a fantastic game, hard luck to Williams

Price such a deeply unlikable competitor on the stage.

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Cataleya Wooden Roller-skate

Just stuck a bullseye on Price to win the whole shabang.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

The problem with Price is that if he gets into any kind of a close game at the Worlds the crowd will destroy him. But Barney isn't getting close enough to give the crowd anything to work with, so he should be ok here

Clemens v Williams was a great match. Williams looks a much better player than he did in the BDO.

4 decent looking games tomorrow but the worst 2 look to be on last.

    Price is in beast mode

Feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

On what planet is Rock 8/1 and Wright is a 10/1 shot. I know he’s already advanced around further but that is ridiculous. Cannot understand why the bookies are so scared of Rock. Around the price of Noppert, Van Den Bergh would be much more realistic.

I think completely the opposite, I like Price on stage. When he gets beat he shakes the hand and moves on.

Did Barney shake the head at all.

I’ve clearly crowed him, sorry Peter!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,980 ✭✭✭Degag

All the roaring is clearly gamesmanship on his part. I get that he needs to pump himself up but he is totally OTT IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Huge shock there, Wright 91 average.

    Really bad performance.

Huybrechts wasn’t much better but pulled the shots out when he needed to.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,133 ✭✭✭testtech05

Fair play to Huybrechts he did what was needed to do but was hard watching Peter trying to find something there. He just couldn't put anything together

Peter Wright was never going to do anything in this years tournament

His missus has been in and out of hospital with some serious issues the last few months (he withdrew from the Players finals) so his head was never in the game . I reckon if he wasn't defending champ he'd probably have withdrawn

MvG and Gerwyn Price are head and shoulders above the rest left in this, with possible exceptions in Rob Cross and Luke Humphries
