Basic Nokia phone with functional predictive text wanted

Hi

I had bought dad the Nokia 105 a few times, but the 2019 version doesn't have a functional predictive text, when a word is predicted there is no way to change it. Initial research suggests this flaw is present in the 106, 130. I might get a second hand 2017 version of 105 if no other option.... Checking if anybody has first hand experience of a basic Nokia with functioning t9 dictionary?

The2017 version of the Nokia 105 is the only phone I know that has a whopping l working predictive text. Per specs the 105 and 130 have predictive text but once it's predicts a word you can't change it. It's a well documented flaw on reviews and online. I also see the same issue on the 106 reviews. So the reason for a second hand one is that it's the only model I know that will work. So unless somebody has first hand experience of a newer basic Nokia with a tried and tested predictive text I will have to go second hand. Rather than read reviews for every phone (which is tedious) I was seeing if anybody knew of a phone with predictive text without this flaw. When the * button is pressed instead of changing the word it brings up punctuation options

This thread confirms same on 106, Amazon reviews confirm same on 130. No idea how they can keep making them with this flaw :-(

Hmmm that's a strange one alright. My Mum does not like smartphones so we got her a Nokia feature phone (I forget the exact model) but she does not like T9 predictive text so we have it turned off for her. She's a talker so her texts are short and sweet and she's happy that way.

I found a website in Netherlands with the version I wanted and got two delivered for €44.

He brings them out on the farm and they never last long 🤣

I googled in work and found it, work computers are on a Dutch VPN. Couldn't remember it when I went home and took a while to track it down! I'll confirm when I get phones that they are the right ones!

We've a couple of 105 (TA-1203) in a drawer (kids old phone) none have PT9. TBH I'm not a fan. They are full of preloaded premium games and often just won't start up until the next charge.

We've had a few Doro's and the (1370) does have predictive text. They are better basic phone. More robust. Though I don't love the UI.
