Lost a Tree what to replace it with

Had a tree in front Garden, which we've had to cut down for various reasons. Now leaves a big visual gap, that I'd like to fill long term with another tree, but in the meanwhile looking for suggestions to fill the gap, something 8tf ish.

8ft ish is a bit of a tough order as thats more of a shrub size than a tree.
How about that tough old classic the weeping pear Pyrus Salicifolia "Pendula" https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/91185/pyrus-salicifolia-pendula-pendulous-willow-leaved-pear-weeping-silver-pear/details
Its weeping habit keeps its height down and if it does make a break for it you can remove any branches that start to increase the height.
