Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for advice please. The recommended electrical survey before installing a home EV charger..Can this be done by the company that installs the EV charger or would/should you have to have a different one? New to all this so its a real learning process for me 😯

You don’t need one as such.

Get the installation company out. They will assess the consumer unit, the tails, the meter etc

If they determine upgrade works are required then take it from there.

But you don’t need to book a dedicated survey beforehand.

Some charger installers will quote based on photos of fuseboard, distance to charger from fuse board etc. Get 3 quotes before comitting. Things can crop up on the day but hard to know in advance.

Alot of the installers ask you to take photos and or a video mapping out the route from fuse board to where the charger will be.

    Get lots of quotes
