Anyone on here a fan of the rural series Bracken starting Gabriel Byrne which ran from 1980 to 1982. I’m looking for the location of Pat Barry’s cottage in Wicklow if anyone knows where it is or has any information on the film location of the series especially people from the area. Thanks

I'm not from the area but I do know filming was done in Glenmacnass Valley close to where Dana Wynter lived at the time in a secluded refurbished cottage about a mile down from the Waterfall. The opening sheep scenes of Glenroe Episode 1 (with Dinny and Miley departing Bracken) were subsequently shot on a farm there with the local farmer taking part. I'd be surprised if you wouldn't find locals who could advise further.
