Do people use the expression “sick of it” after having a big winner in gambling? If so; Sick of what exactly? Money?

I heard a problem gambler saying that all the buzz from gambling comes from losing. The buzz of a win is nothing.

It’s the chase. As long as they are losing the adrenaline is flowing but a win puts a pause to that and is a downer.

I think it's more likely the moment inbetween winning & losing.

The apprehension or anticipation tied into that all or nothing situation.

Hard to know what the person in OPs story is, but anyone that responds like that (without sarcasm) has some issues with the activity, and probably needs to step away from it, and just spend a little bit of time trying to understand it.
