Day trip to Dublin from Liverpool

    Can anyone advise how long roughly it will take to get through Dublin Airport following a flight from Liverpool at about 1030 on a Saturday morning? No bags. Also, the flight back is at 2140 so what time would be best to arrive at the airport?

    Finally, what's the best bus to get into town?

    Came through Dublin Airport from Liverpool at 9am this morning. About 10 minutes from plane landing to getting through passport control

    Where in town? There are express buses (direct, dearer) and local buses (cheaper, slower).

    Zero queuing time coming out and probably only 5-10 minutes if even going back at that time through security. Presumably you'll be on Ryanair which has a long enough walk to and from the gates from the terminal entrance (about 10 minutes walk).

    For the bus, the 41 (if there is one due) is the best local bus into town if you have a leap card (just €2 fare plus free connection across the city on other modes (train, bus luas). Don't get the 16, it is extremely slow and tedious, but they do run every 12 minutes and start at the airport, same €2 fare.

    Best bet is to get a Dublin Express Bus - https://www.dublinexpress.ie/ and get a return ticket. This bus takes the Port Tunnel and is pretty fast as a result and will get you to where you want to go.
