Smyths Pokemon Switch

So I'm new to the world of games console and am planning to get my son a Nintendo switch for Christmas. The Pokemon OLED one is coming out on Friday and I'm just wondering if anyone knows how likely it will be that I will pick one up at opening time in Smyths or do these kind of things sell out online before they hit the shelves (and if so what time do they come online?!)

He's Pokemon mad but I missed out on the presale on Gamestop as I hadn't decided which I wanted to get. Want to give it my best shot on Friday ;-)

You better to go to the shop when they open in smyths and try online before it opens.

I picked it up easily enough from the Nintendo website and it was €20 cheaper than smyths at €359 & 2 day delivery
