Can we sue my cat breeder?

We bought a British shorthair kitten 3 months ago from a registered breeder and turns out that it had "hidden" health problems that we were not told or been aware.

The kitten looked healthy and all (so we didn't go to the vet for a check up as the breeders guarantee that she is perfectly healthy),but after a week it started showing lesions of ringworm, which was impossible that it came from us as ringworm takes 2 weeks to show and it all started after a week that we had her. The vet not only confirmed that she had ringworm (and gave medication worth of 115 euro) but also that she has the cat flu.

Six weeks later after we finished the treatment, we went to the vet again and said that she has no longer ringworm, but the flu was still there so prescribed eye drops (more money) but that she also suspects that the kitten has gingivitis (inflamed gum disease which can be passed from the mother) so she took a sample and send it over to UK (another 100 euro).

We spoke with the breeder as per the contract, the kitten is supposed to be spayed this month (which is impossible since she has gingivitis) and she confirmed that the kitten's mother had gingivitis during pregnancy (something that she didn't mention when we were buying the kitten).

Can we sue the cat breeder for this? Treating feline gingivitis is very hard and will cost a lot more money.

Aside from being massively offtopic for the Site Feedback forum, legal advice is banned sitewide. You need to consult a solicitor.
