Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Future-proof Satellite Dish + LNB

I'm looking fir some practical advice/experience...

I've been managing with IPTV since moving house, but it's time to have my satellite back. :) My climbing days are over so I want as futureproof a system as possible. Ideally supporting FTA/Freesat, Sky Q and Terrestrial.

I currently have an attic aerial for TV (grand) with RG6 cable to each room and three cables to the sitting room. I intend using this cable as it is simply too intrusive to change to CT100.

The best solution I can come up with is installing a rustproof dish feeding a Multiswitch with terrestrial input and Sky Q support. This would allow me have satellite and terrestrial in each room.

Has anyone here done this? If so, what product did they use and where did they get it? Can anyone advise on a cheaper alternative?

    Thanks a million.

    Thanks, Tony.

I've decided to go with the Inverto IDLU-UWT110-CUO1O-32P multiswitch. This allows me to combine satellite and terrestrial on one feed and is supported by Sky Q.

The only drawback is that it is not wideband, but I can accept that to avoid rewiring. It is available from Amazon for <£100. I'll use a wideband LNB from the dish to give future flexibility.
