Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help identifying a knocking sound

    Hello all,

Have a few issues on my 2010 Mondeo 2.0 diesel.

I've replaced both front strut top mounts and bearings. In the process of replacing both front wishbones.

The parts above needed changing, the control arms are making noise when driving but this is different.

With the car fully on the ground, wheels on carrying all its own weight, if I put my foot on the top of the drivers side tyre and push with my leg, it makes a single knock and then 1 or 2 small knocks after, have tried looking under while pushing but can't see much else wrong. If I push on the passenger front I can hear the knock coming from the drivers side.

Maybe inner tie rods? Steering rack? (Pls no)

Hopefully it's some sort of play elsewhere due to the worn wishbone bushes.

    Any ideas?
