Trying to remember 80s cartoon

Driving me mad...

My memories are of green characters, maybe the intro showed them floating down to a Castle in a bubble or something.

There might have been a floating dog (fish like?), also green.

The bad guy was some giant reptile or lizard or dinosaur with a deep throaty booming voice, his bumbling minions may have been dwarves or gnomes or something with tails.

Might have been called something like dream keepers, or catchers or something.

I went looking for this about 10 years ago and found it, but can't remember what I googled to find it!

I remember watching a cartoon when I was young where the characters flew around in biplanes and they'd press a button and the planes would be covered in armour and be jet powered

Think the good guys lived in some giant aircraft fortress thingy

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

That would be "Ring Raiders" I think. Probably be careful googling that one though. Strikes me as a good porn name too.

The second one sounds like Tailspin, a Disney cartoon from 1990 featuring characters from The Jungle Book.

I recently stumbled upon The DreamStone when browsing old youtube clips and couldn't believe I had forgotten it existed. It really does seem quite dated. The animation and voice acting feels like its from the 70s/early 80s. The dialogue in the bit I saw was atrocious. Despite being for kids, the characters use outdated words and phrases that would make an adult have to stop and think. I couldn't tolerate more than a few minutes!

Did you check Ring Raiders on You Tube? It pretty much perfectly fits what you described. They fly bi planes and then using the power of their rings they are able to turn them into metal jet fighters but only for a very short period of time.

I think I had some memories of other shows mixed in as well, but that one looks right

Gotta love some 80s/90s cartoon nostalgia on YouTube. Was watching all of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs a while back, that show was awesome 😁
