Half of them are probably being paid more than the potential prize fund anyway, especially given they have to travel to Scotland for a few weeks for it.

I think Charlotte made a series of mistakes by being so disloyal to her fellow traitors. If she had stuck with Minah, it'd have been the 2 of them in a group of 5 and they'd have had a very good chance of winning.

Even with Freddie, if she hadn't tried to shaft him with knowing about the shield, it'd have been the two of them against 5 and he'd have been under the spotlight but he'd have been less likely to turn on her.

That said, if Frankie doesn't pick her, she still probably wins. It was the correct choice from Frankie IMO - the best outcome for the seer is to identify a faithful and hope that they back you whereas if you end up on a traitor, both of you have to be killed to resolve the situation. Stupid from Frankie not to back Alexander after he wanted her to pick him to be seen, no way is a traitor that brazen imo.

Pity Leanne won, she didn't come across well at all. She's completely narcissistic

It's easy to say people are rubbish at finding traitors but anyone who's played games like this know how hard it is when you have basically nothing to go on.

I liked the seer concept although they may need to tweak it a little along with some other things such as the tasks

Just caught up with the final show as we were without power to watch it "live".

Anyone else think that when they were down to the last 4, it wasn't so much about catching a possible traitor (a good chance that there were none left) as it was about increasing the personal gain … €90,000 split 2 ways is much better than a quarter of €90,000 ??

That definitely did cross my mind but then again all four players chose to banish instead of finishing the game- That was a clue that wasn't picked up on as a traitor would vote to end the game immediately.

In the final 4 I knew they wouldn't give Alexander the benefit of the doubt least of all Leanne. I was surprised they wouldn't trust Frankie and at that point i think you're right it was a case of better to split money twice instead of three times

There is definately an element of greed involved, I thought that myself. If you told the final 3 or 4 they were all faithfuls but they can banish again, I wouldn't surprised if sone of them choose to if they knew they would be safe

Im also not gone on the idea of putting relatives in the game, doesn't add much from a viewers perspective imo and put automatic suspicion on them if the players know

Yes, I think at that point it was about getting as much as they could, and that was the reason for continuing to banish. And, I guess Frankie thought Leanne would vote with her. It was nothing compared to last year, imo, that final. It all just felt flat and inevitable, to me.

I agree re relatives @Kolido. The only good bit last year on that score, was Ross saying goodbye to Diane when she was in the coffin. 😁

Yeah but you only gave one example of Charlotte in ep 10 when there's only a handful of players left anyway.

You have not addressed the other points raised.

All that is needed is one example

Just on the breakfast thing. I think someone mentioned it already. Is it posible they all meet up prior and know who is gone. Then they do multiple takes of players entering in different combinations and we are shown the dramatic one. If the last three were a thing you would think players would pick up on it and talk about it but they never do

The seer thing backfired on the producers and meant the others had no choice but to banish both, why take the risk?

Yeah, I think there should be some mechanism that punishes them financially if they continue to banish faithfuls after the last traitor is gone

Prize fund reduces by 10/15k would be a nice incentive to finish😂

could be, at the point of no traitors left. The money is automatically split, therefore, there is no personal gain to purposely banish faithfuls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,483 ✭✭✭bren2001

    Nah, they lost the game.

I'd be all for some penal action for eliminating faithfuls after all the traitors are gone in the end game but if you get banished and take money, that makes no sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,140 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

Would you be stopping the game at that point? If so, then it would be a bit unfair on the traitors. For example, if there are 3 players left, 1 is a traitor, by not stopping the game you are telling them there is a traitor left, whereas they could have won the game with 3 players

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,138 ✭✭✭Neowise

nah, nobody tells the contestants, bar explaining the rule to them first day.

For example, if 5 faithful left after last traitor is banished, 100k prize pool automatically gets split 5 ways.

If they end up with just two faithfuls at the end, they end up with 20k each.

That's absolutely brilliant! Well done to everyone who donated, and to Alexander for bringing Mencap back into people's minds .

I don't think so. Players have previously started crying or being very dramatic when they realise someone's not coming in for breakfast, and that's been used against them in arguments at Roundtables. If they all already knew in advance who wasn't coming in, it would be even more suspect and obvious that they're faking it.

With regards the last three coming in, I think it's probably more likely that the editing of how they come in is swapped around a bit; that one or two of the final three actually came in a little earlier, and then they cut to reactions of some of the first ones in.

But it's also a case that players can't really talk about what way the production might be showing things. They're kind of told not to talk about stuff like that, and if they do it gets edited out. In one of the Australian series, fans were really confused because one guy was always shown in group shots etc, but never seemed to speak or be spoken about. It was because he spoke so much about what way the producers might be trying to make things go, speaking about production things like cameramen, and how all his theories were all based on that that so much of his stuff at the Roundtable and during the day just had to be edited out. When he got banished an episode or two before the final, most of the audience had no idea who he was.

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

You need a high degree of trust throughout the game in order to achieve more than 2 at the end. The base strategy is to find just one person you’re as sure as can be, is a faithful and just stick with them - it reduces risk and of course gives you more of a share of the pot.

Richard Osman said that it was only after filming did the producers realise that the status in one of the challenges had a particularly familiar shape to them. I'd say they were mortified

Siobhán McSweeney will make The Traitors 'my own' when she hosts Irish version

^^ Text for search purposes, I would credit my source but tired of linking my disclaimer, see prior posts or my signature.

I enjoyed the UK version, And tried following the US version on repeat late on BBC, like the host but was on to late at night to watch.

No one can come close to Claudias performance in my opinion she is sublime on Traitors

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,628 ✭✭✭Musicrules

Rodger who hosted Australian traitors was number 1. Alan from the US version number 2, Claudia in the uk version is number 3. We'll see if Siobhán can break into the top 3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,907 ✭✭✭✭Mam of 4

I think Claudia is perfect for the British Version. Alan is brilliant with the US series, he's excellent with the celebs . I couldn't imagine him or Claudia doing each others series tbh .

Hopefully Siobhan will be good, at least they didn't go for one of the dreaded influencers or models, she actually has a personality and hopefully that will shine through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,628 ✭✭✭Musicrules

But will the contestants be influencers and the like?

God I hope not. This years traitors definitely not as good on BBC too many young people and influencers. You want normally people the mammy, grandfather etc that's what makes it so good.

Linda was one of best characters this year because she probably reminded us all of someone older we knew.
