Started tu 706 this year really enjoying it but I’ve heard some people say it doesn’t get you a good job when you graduate. Anyone know if I could move to tu802 the level 8 at the end of the year?

There is no shortage of work. Yes, you can get advanced entry to a level 8 which would of course be better.
