This was the exact same response which the council gave in 2020. The Business Post also asked if any changes to overtime processing have been made, however the council had not responded at the time of publication."

You could try pushing your local Councillors for action on this. Absolutely crazy that anyone would be approving their own expenses, and that a Finance Dept would be approving payments on that basis.

It's pretty insulting to anyone who lives in the area, and based on what's been highlighted, there are no repercussions.

Governance would never have been one of their stronger points. They couldn't be bothered with trivial things like that, particularly when they're engaged in bigger projects like the development of the Baths!
