Lost phone location help

So the partner lost her phone a couple of hours ago. It is ringing and has retraced her steps with no luck.

She is unable to login to Google locate as a code is been sent to her mobile.

It is very frustrating. Has anyone any tips?

I see there are sites you enter your credit card details to help but I am very sceptical.

Did you create backup codes and print when setup TFA with the google account or a recovery email/phone ?

Ask her to check her google account on a computer, it may have some info on one of the more obscure pages.

you could try phoning customer service of eir,02, eg the network operator customer service ,as they, can track where the phone is as the sim sends a signal to the nearest phone mast when you ring the no.of course at some point the battery will run out of power ,

so they,ll have a rough idea where it is located by looking at recent phone calls

In your google account, go to "data and privacy" scroll down and under "info that you can share with others" you will see "My devices" search there for the phone, click on it and you will see "find my device"

Terrible advice riclad, blocking the sim kills your chance of tracking it.
