We're all different, have different interests and lives, like different things and dig different types of people.

But sweet fukkin ***** (insert your own deity) I just visited the Gentleman's club forum here for the first time in 10 years+ and the first stickied thread is "My Circumcision Story"

Now, I understand that there are particular accepted organised religions who like cutting little bits off small boys private parts, but I'm trying to imagine a scenario where the first STICKIED thread in the Ladies Lounge is "My FGM Story" My mind boggles.

So what's your own particular "How the f**k does this even exist" thread?

You do understand that the My Circumcision Story in TGC is about people sharing their stories and experiences about adult circumcision which is often required to correct a condition called phimosis (which is an excessively tight foreskin), is the medically recognised procedure to address it, and has nothing to do with religion, right?

The thread is helpful for letting men know they're not alone with the condition, it's "maybe not common but not as rare as you'd think", and share their experiences or answer questions about the op and recovery.

It's not a thread about circumcising children for religious or societal purposes (a practice I abhor), and is not comparable to FGM.

Those threads where people who actively hate a TV or radio show listen in to the show so they can comment on it; and do that every single day the show is on.

We live in a world where we can consume an infinite amount of whatever you want yourself - books, podcasts, the classics narrated, free education, too much choice on streaming services.

Why would you do that then? Is it maybe for a sense of meaning in a world where that doesn't seem to matter?

I have opened a few that did never made the cut for sure.... I seen one go in less than 30 secs, I mentioned something about Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey and it nearly collapsed the site. The things people do be doing, what , are you fuggin serious?

I actually find some of the personal issues threads very compelling insofar as, if you don't make like it's girly cuddles time, on the bed in the spare room, with the heat on and Teddycuddily Bears out.. in your jammies, consoling the phuck out of who I think is the same person who comes along every week, with this nightmare scenario about some bastard bloke who managed to outdo the last dude with his out of leftfield suggestion on their 2nd date because she got him taking drugs or some mate told her that he tried it on and she is not sure blah blah blah what can I do I feel really hopeless I thought this was to be my year something something else beguiling and impossibly awkward to fathom all in all.... if you try to say anything along the lines of " ah here love would you ever get a grip for phuck sake " or even " do you think you are being too harsh " or basically anything not involving you offering slopped out sincere advice to that same foooking pisstaker week in week out......

That threadster freaks me out insofar as they are attention junckies getting completely placated. I actually get the craic, I get why that poster is loving making up the love yarn, I get the buzz.... but I just know deep down that they are ripping the absolute urine in a massive way ... and the beauty of it is that they are nailing it.

I just find it compelling that people get a kick out of that? I suppose that is the essence of weird or weirdness or weird scenarios with weirdos weirding out about other types of weird and the weird shít it is composing itself on?

Whatever people don't get or enjoy or quite possibly understand or fully comprehend... seems to possibly fall into that indistinct category in their minds classified as weird.

People are quite uninteresting on a forum like this so I've not seen anything that sticks out. On Incel forums there are many unusual characters like a young Welshman who lived in a mental health care home who recorded videos of himself dressed as joker and who went to the job centre dressed as a character from the Matrix.

My favourite poster was probably the eastern European man who laid on his bed watching sitcoms on loop for years. He has big plans to make money but can't seem to find the motivation to get off the bed. He plans to maybe go homeless and move to Portugal or Ireland.

There are other users who post photos of women they see in the red light district.

I've been banned from many forums for trying to broaden the topics of discussion for example GAA forums. Obviously GAA people are such narrow minded people in many ways so my discussion about being incel obviously wasn't going to end well even though it was in the off topic section. They also didn't take it too well when I said I didn't enjoy women's football. Basically any forum that has a lot of ordinary family men I will get banned from as I can't relate to their lives. They haven't had the same life experiences as me so they can't relate to my stories either.
