Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

cheap remapping?

    hi im just looking to see if anyone knows anyone doing reasonably priced remapping around dublin, im not too worried about rolling road tests etc, i have a 2.0tdi skoda superb, so just looking to go from 140 to 170, nothing crazy, anyone know anyone doing remapping cheap?

    Those two words shouldn't be in the same sentence.

    Pay someone proper money and get the job done correctly, you don't want someone doing it cheap and be messing about with the innards of the cars ECU

    I've lost an engine around mondello due to a dodgy map so with that in mind, a cheap map can be the most expensive map of all.

    Diesel is different no doubt but comes with it's own risks around mapping.

    I got my 2.0tdi remapped 184 to 217 hp. It was a lot torquier but started to show serious problems with the engine after about a year. I wouldn’t do it again. If you are doing it, spend the money for a good remap. My dad got a cheap remap on a e250d and it wrecked the ecu. Car was basically scrap after that.
