Itunes - can't sync iphone - please help?

    Hi folks, I have a macbook and iphone SE - trying to sync my iphone to itunes to import music from macbook to iphone... I usually do this without bother... but now when I try to do it, it doesn't move from stage/step 2 (of 6)... just keeps saying "backing up"....

    any ideas whats wrong?

    I have the latest update on iphone...

    its soo annoying
