Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi, if I want to change my name by deed poll, is it still possible to do it even if I don't live in Ireland? I'm an Irish passport holder

    Looking at the checklist on courts.ie it states that I must be permanently resident in Ireland

    Yeah. You need to do whatever you need to do to effect a name change according to the laws and customs of the place where you live.

    If you want to change your name by deed poll in Ireland you need to be living in Ireland.

    Yes it is where you are resident.

    I changed by Deed Poll in the UK when I lived there but when I was in Scotland I was told I could change there simply by Declaration. As in " I wish to be called Mickey Mouse and thereafter will be called Mickey Mouse... ' as I was informed by a digruntled solicitor there...
