I'd like to get part of a car bumper scanned and reproduced. It would be the full width of the bumper so about 1.8m long.

Are there companies doing this in Ireland and what does this typical cost? I know there is likely alot of further info needed but ballpark.

It can be printed in parts to make easier if required.

I reckon a fiberglass repro would be a better option.

I have seen some large 3D prints, but it's very slow and expensive.

I'd be with Kenny on this one. Fibreglass or IMP is a better option for large parts. On a 3d printer, build volume and print height will be your enemy.

To scan and model the part, I think it'd be possible with an Xbox Kinect camera and photogrammetry software, as large scanners are pricey.

To 3d print large parts tho? Is a time and cost sink.
