My God the Irish quicks are having the nightmare of all nightmare tours in Bangladesh. I don't know exactly what Mark Adair needs to do to be dropped, but if going at 14 an over isn't it, he'll never lose his place. Hand is completely out of his depth, can't understand how he gets picked.

It's one thing trying to mimic England's style, but you need to have the players that can actually do it. This is a nonsense approach. Coaches have been sacked for much better results than this. Bermuda and Kenya would be more competetive

This really is ridiculous, brain dead stuff. There's no plan here at all, just go out and have a slog and if you get out don't worry about it.

This tour should be fatal for the coach. He's clueless at this level. You can't play England style attacking cricket with the talent we have available. The players are not good enough

Oh dear.. don't look like the rain is going save us. Their quicks gave us trouble in the ODIs and now we're clueless against the spin, yer man has 5 for 14 runs and counting. In fairness, in this format and against this total, the only option is to try and thrash the ball.

Can we get to 10 overs, can we reach 100?

You don't braindead bash, you have a plan. They don't have any of that, they try and hit everything for 6. It's amateur hour out there. There's never any consolidation when a wicket falls, at 4 down they're still blindly swinging for the hills. It's not even a strategy that has ever worked for them. Have we ever chased down a large total in a T20i, against a full member by just blindly slogging at everything? We are 99% more likely to be 45/6 than 90/1 with this strategy. The only person that can't see that is that clown of a coach.

A coach that can't be bothered heading to the tour of Sri Lanka, although not having him there is a good thing

20 runs an over the RRR and wickets falling like there is no tomorrow. 7 down after 11 overs… you’d be cringing if this was happening against Australia, England or India, but Bangladesh ? Can’t wait for the Stirling or Balbernie interview. 👀

The same rubbish they always talk. The dreadful bowling and brain dead batting won't be reflected on at all, sure it's all just bad luck. Our new aggresive style is working perfectly......

It's not even the results that bother me. I fully expected to lose all 7 games. Bangladesh contrary to opinion are now a very good team, especially at home. What is unforgivable is the lack of fight and the lack of game intelligence.

How many wides does Adair bowl a game? Will he ever realise he hasn't the skill to execute what he's trying and come up with a different idea. We've had 5 games of the quicks being smashed out of the ground and yet they are STILL sticking devoutly to the same plans. Go back through cricinfos commentary and see how often length balls to the fence, yet they keep bowling that length.

As for the batters, they don't even try and play proper cricket anymore, they've no value on their wicket. Just go out and slog and if I'm out who cares. Look how many wickets fall to the first ball of an over. They don't even give themselves a sighter, just wildly smash.

There is a fine line between ‘no fear’ cricket and ‘brain dead’ cricket… but Ireland have both feet in the brain dead camp. Not an intelligent team. No great leadership.

Lost our first 3 wickets in 2.5 overs.. Stirling gone first ball.. way to set the tone.

the one plus is Campher scoring 50 off 30…one of only 3 batsmen so far in double figures.

Hume going well also… adding a flicker of respectability to the score.

done… a 77 run defeat in a 17 over a side game.

I wonder why it was a reduced overs game, considering that stadium has floodlights ?

It's based on resources, 10 wickets available over a shorter time, so the rate is increased because of that, 95-96 looked a fairer assessment for sure, well stuffed again today, the bowlers are being hammered in every game

This is a terrible tour, even by out standards. Normally you'd expect to get at least one competitive game, at the moment it's just Bangla setting new records over and over

What's the story with the coaching? I don't know much about that end of things.

I really don't rate him. I think he's all spoof. Listening to him talk you'd think he's revolutionized Irish cricket, where in fact nothing's really changed. A decent world cup had been followed by a mix bagged Zimbabwe tour and this shambolic performance. I don't think he's improved the team at all.

He's obsessed with this aggressive cricket approach, particularly batting. The batting approach has been nuts all series. Match situations don't seem to matter anymore. If you lose a couple of wickets the normal reaction is consolidate for a bit, let the batter get his eye in before going for the big shots. Instead Ireland seem to think they can just blast their way out of trouble. I don't get it, who looks at that batting line up and thinks that's the right approach. It works for England, but Ireland don't have Butler, Bairstow, Stokes etc. We don't have the players to play that way. consistently.

Today for example why not give the openers license to go for it. If they get us off to a flyer then keep going like that, you have momentum. But at 7/2 and 26/3, why are they persisting with this. 26/3 is much more likely to end up at 40/6 than 140/3 playing like that.

The bowlers have been taken apart 5 games running, the tactics aren't changing though. I know the attack is a limited attack, but it looks like he won't adjust the tactics no matter how many 6s are hit.

To top off his poor coaching performance, he's not bothered going to Sri Lanka. The head coach is being rested for two test matches. He'd have a defense if Ireland played lots of games but they don't they play very little cricket. The head coach will miss half the test matches Ireland play this year. Not a great message about how serious Ireland take this format, especially considering they nearly went bankrupt chasing test cricket

no playing career of note at all.

10 first class matches, 9 list A matches, over a whole career.

His coaching is really only in limited overs… for a team hell bent on transitioning to playing test cricket in time. Also in New Zealand there are only 6 teams playing top tier first class cricket, so what victories he’s helped oversee have been in some of the lesser competitive competitions in the world…

unless he came ‘recommended’ in certain quarters it’s a head scratcher to see how he was considered a viable candidate…..

in other news… New Zealand are absolutely thrashing Sri Lanka… SL are 51/4 after 15 overs.. SL look atrocious here…

Despite the wickets 7 of the first 8 overs had at least one boundary. An ongoing situation that's punished more often than not!

64/7 after 10 overs. We have Bangladesh up sheet creek. Irish bowlers getting results….strange feeling.. now finishing the job, bowl them out sub 100 and let’s cruise this home !

Bangladesh having been 61/7 you’d probably say Ireland will be quite disappointed not to have limited their score to say 100 maximum.

Conceding 63 runs from the last 3 wickets will be disappointing….
