Alcatel 20001x need unlocked.

Hi all trying to see if I can get this phone unlocked for a elderly neighbour,it's a very basic phone and quite a number of yrs old.

Is there any online free tools or software that will unlock it for me??.

Any help be truly appreciated.

Phone is Alcatel 2001x so ignore the thread heading topic of 20001.

 EBay is probably your best option. Search for "Alcatel 2001x unlock code". Price should be just a couple of euro. Check with the seller that code will work with whatever network it's locked to. Also ensure to specify that it's an Irish network as the sellers are probably UK based and some might only have codes for UK networks even if the same network brand operates in Ireland. They'll ask for phone's IMEI which they need to provide the unlock code.

There may be ways to unlock it by cable and software but for the sake of a couple of euro, the code purchase is probably less hassle.

Alcatel/TCL codes for ROI are hard to come by.

Its a 2G handset, one for recycling IMHO.
