Hi all

Just trying to find a list of channels included with this. I understand it's free to air channels only. Have searched the internet, but hard to find anything. We're not big tv watchers so we think it will probably do but would like to see a list first!

Sky’s basic package basically nets you all but sports, movies, kids & documentary channels. The list of what you dont get is definitely shorter than what you do. If you’re not fussed about sports packages and movies I find it hard to think you won’t find something to watch.

Cheaper in the short term perhaps but why pay 96 euro a year for free channels. After the initial outlay for a dish,aerial and box installation then you’d quickly start saving.

You get more than FTA I’m pretty sure. Are the sky 1 and similar channels on FTA?

I wonder, it clearly says 100 free to air channels, but there's probably a couple of their own in there if only to try and get you to pay a bit more.

It's 38 Euro a month not 96 Euro a year. What are you on about? 96 Euro a year would be a bargain for Sky.

Because €30 of the €38 is for broadband. 12 x €8 is €96.

Well, the set up was installed yesterday and spent yesterday evening running through what I had.

Sky Arts, Sky News and Sky 1 included.

However I have NO CHANNEL 4!!!

I must admit I just assumed it would include all the English channels as a matter of course. I have BBC 1 to 4. Virgin 1 - 3. Then a plethora of random channels, you know the kind of thing. They include PBS which actually seems like it might have stuff I'd watch.

Also I'd forgotten how clunky their interface is. Why can't I have a button on my remote that just brings up the guide fgs. I have to click two or 3 times to get into the guide. V annoying. Slower response times than virgin also when flicking. So, overall a little disappointed but it IS the most basic package and v cheap in fairness.

Actually I should mention there is a a play back All 4 app, but it does not have all the channel 4 programmes on it.

You can add c4 as a other channel but you can’t record from it

On a Sky Q Box, to tune in ITV:

1. On Home screen, scroll down to the settings.
2. Select 'Manual Tuning' (you may need to enter your PIN).
3. Select 'Add a channel'
4. Enter the following settings:
   1. Frequency: 10.891
   2. Polarisation: H
   3. Symbol rate: 22.0
   4. FEC: 5/6
   5. Standard: DVB-S
   6. Modulation Scheme: QPSK
   7. You should get a list of channels, add what you want.
5. When you want to view them, you have to return to the 'Manual tuning' section of 'Settings' and select the channels you want to watch from the list

Must explain the recent call to get me to try and get me to sign back up for tv again.

Thankfully my sky hd gives me the channels i usually watch without a subscription.

You’d think that after nearly 5 months without a tv subscription that you’re surviving and that you don’t need them.
