Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

blowing smoke??

    hi folks,son has a 2011 avensis 2lt diesel,serviced about 6 months ago,going well but he notices a blast of smoke every 2-3 weeks from the exhaust,but seems to drive ok after,is that any harm,should he be concerned?or do all diesels do that

    Ah. The Toyota D4D blue breath of death. The turbo is about to go in it.

    In a car of that age, turbo trouble is write off stuff. There is no cheap cure.

    Drive it on till it calf's then scrap.
