Garland has been a torn in our side for a long time but we should be beating that Welsh team. And beat them comfortably. 10+ point win. We have to get used to being hot favourites for matches. Show we can handle the expectation and pressure. Ireland 37 Wales 12 is my call.

There’s a difference between handling a realistic expectation and handling a fantasy. Apart from Italy, it’s very rare for any team to lose at home by more than 10 points. Let alone by 25 points. The majority of 6N matches are close affairs.

Oh yeah, the expectation is we should win. Anything less will be an unexpected and poor result. I was just giving my prediction which is that I think we'll destroy them.

Well called in fairness, other than that he didn't even make it to the warm up.

Because the originally picked team just wasn't Warrenball enough...

Surprised he sprung it this early...to be fair I think we all expected it to be during the warm up so maybe now there's an element of surprise...

(Conveniently this changed name roughly around the time Ireland name their XV...)

Bench looks very odd. Who is full back cover? Why isn’t Larmour on bench?

Hansen i assume is full back cover. I wouldnt call it very odd and there is plenty of versatility within the team that any change wouldnt require too many positional switches

Hansen has played fullback lately for Connacht, presumably at the request of Andy Farrell. No worries about him there if he has to fill in

Mod: Closing this thread so we don't have two duplicate match threads.
