Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ERG Removal

    I gather you can get the ERG valve removed or remapped so the car doesn’t know it’s there. Has anyone got that done and how much was it?

    NCT fail to do this cos nct are now hooking up to eobd socket to scan for emissions faults.

    No they aren't failing cars with the egr mapped out properly. As far as the ECU on the car knows, the egr is working perfectly therefore no faults stored.

    You already managed to rearrange 3 letters incorrectly so should be no bother remapping or removing…but to answer your question I had mine blanked as car had vw emission fix and I was plagued with problems , dpf blocking, turbo faults, poor fuel economy , it was a few hundred euro. Software was updated to fool car into thinking egr was there. I’d normally not be in favour of such mods but car was in constantly giving trouble. Car has ran well since, and no issues with NCT
